Circle for Re-entry

The Lima UMADAOP community based program proposes to ease the adjustment from incarceration to freedom for prisoners. It is the mission of Lima UMADAOP to reduce the number of reentry individuals being arrested and the number of reentry individuals returning to prisons and jails. The prevention staff will go into prisons and jails and provide education from violence, alcohol, tobacco, and substance abuse programming. Reentry individuals will be provided evidenced based curriculum, Creating Lasting Family Connections and Violence, Alcohol, Tobacco and other Drugs (VATOD) prevention education classes. In addition, Lima UMADAOP professionals will provide Peer Mentoring and Coaching to Reentry individuals. “Creating Lasting Family Connections” and (VATOD) have been identified as promising practices through the SAMSHA NREPP Network. Locally, over the past 18 years we’ve established evidenced based data through documented evaluation outcomes.
